2012 World Champion heads the Australian Championship line-up - December 2013

2012 World Champion Chris Holder (pictured above) heads the list of riders selected to contest the Australian 500cc Solo Speedway Championship in January. And among the riders joining Holder will be his teenage brother Jack, who recently won the New South Wales Under 21 Championship.
The championship will be held over three rounds, starting at Kurri Kurri in New South Wales on 4 January, then moving onto Undera in Victoria on 8 January (Wednesday), and finishing with the deciding round at Gillman in South Australia on 11 January.
Eight riders have been seeded into the championship rounds and they are, in alphabetical order, Troy Batchelor (SA-the defending champion), Jason Doyle (NSW), Josh Grajczonek (Qld), Chris Holder (NSW), Jack Holder (NSW), Dakota North (Vic), Rohan Tungate (NSW) and Cameron Woodward (Vic.
The remaining eight riders will be determined by a Qualifying meeting to be held at Kurri Kurri on 3 January (Friday). The line-up for the qualifying meeting is: Jake Allen (Qld), Hunter Anderson (NSW), Jake Anderson (Vic), Mason Campton (NSW), Matthew Day (Qld), Jye Etheridge (NSW), Max Fricke (Vic), Allan MacDonald (NSW), Sam Masters (NSW), Nick Morris (Qld), Tyson Nelson (Qld), Joey Ringwood (NSW), Justin Sedgmen (Vic), Tyson Snow (Qld), Daine Stevens (NSW), Brodie Waters (Vic), with Josh MacDonald (NSW) and Denny Cox (NSW) as reserves.
