Australian 500cc Motorcycle Speedway Championship riders named - December 2015

Motorcycling Australia has announced the riders who will contest the 2016 Australian 500cc Solo Speedway Championship series next month.
The championship will be decided over four rounds, and nine riders have been seeded into the rounds. They are, in alphabetical order, Troy Batchelor (SA, pictured above), Mason Campton (NSW), Max Fricke (Vic), Josh Grajczonek (Qld), Sam Masters (NSW), Nick Morris (Qld), Tyron Proctor (Vic), Justin Sedgmen (Vic) and Rohan Tungate (NSW).
The remaining seven riders will be determined by a Qualifying meeting to be held at Loxford Park Speedway (Kurri Kurri NSW) on Friday, 1 January. The line-up for the qualifying meeting is: Dakota Ballantyne (SA), Josh Coyne (Qld), Matthew Day (Qld), James Dimmock (ACT), Jack Holder (NSW), Tyler King (NSW), Brady Kurtz (NSW), Alan MacDonald (NSW), Joshua MacDonald (NSW), Josh Pickering (NSW), Taylor Poole (NSW), Joey Ringwood (NSW), Kieran Sproule (NSW), Jordan Stewart (Vic), Cooper Riordan (Vic), Brodie Waters (Vic).
Following the Qualifying meeting the championship rounds will be held at Loxford Park Speedway on 2 January, Undera Park Speedway (Undera Vic, Wednesday 6 January), Gillman Speedway (Adelaide SA, Friday 8 January) and Olympic Park Speedway (Mildura Vic, Sunday, 10 January).
