Further support from long standing Gillman Speedway sponsors - November 2013

Two of Gillman Speedway’s long standing season sponsors, CBS Bins and Sailun Tyres, have increased their commitment to the Gillman venue by sponsoring all of the major Solo events this season.
CBS Bins have already sponsored the Gillman Solo Championship this season, but will also being sponsoring the South Australian Championship at the next meeting (7 December) and the Australian Solo Championship and the Australian Under 21 Solo Championship next month.
The company was particularly keen to sponsor the Australian Championship on 11 January, and company spokesman Mark Baker said today “this is the tenth anniversary of the championship being held at Gillman so we certainly wanted to see such a milestone meeting have the CBS Bins named attached to it”, to which Gillman manager David Parker responded “this is the first time since the championship started in 1926 that a track has held the event ten years running, and that probably would not have been possible without the wonderful support we’ve had from the Baker family through their business CBS Bins, so we’re very happy they are the naming rights sponsor again this season.”
The other major events which Sailun Tyres will sponsor are the Jack Young Cup and the South Australian and Australian Under 16 250/350cc Solo Championship. “I think John Weekes, who runs the Sailun Tyres dealership in Adelaide, is particularly pleased to being able to sponsor the Under 16 Championships,” said Parker. “He’s a long-time speedway fan and as well as helping Gillman I know he was excited about being able to also help the next generation of riders coming through.”
