Kiwis hoping to fly around Gillman Speedway Saturday night - February 2015
February 4, 2015 by Gillman Media
Two Kiwis hoping to fly around the Gillman track this Saturday night are the current New Zealand Champions Paul Humphrey and Ben Franklin.
Humphrey and Franklin have only been together since the 2010/2011 season, but in their short time together have been very successful in their home country.
In 2013 they won the North Island and West Coast Championships, and then their first New Zealand Championship; and last year they retained the New Zealand and West Coast Championships and also won the Sidecar Champion of Champions, the Best of the Best and the New Zealand Grand Prix.
The 2015 NZ Championship has not yet been held but they recently won the North Island Championship to show they are in top form, and after some good results at Gillman last season by another Kiwi team, Andrew Buchanan and Philippa Burns, it will be interesting to see how the number 1 NZ team will go in their first appearance on the Adelaide track.
