Line-ups announced for post-Christmas Gillman Sidecar shows - December 2013

Gillman Speedway and Motorcycling South Australia have announced the riders selected to compete in the two post-Christmas major Sidecar meetings, the Paintmaster SA Gillman Sidecar Championship and the Speedway Racing News South Australian Sidecar Championship.

The Paintmaster SA Gillman Sidecar Championship will be the last meeting for 2013, on Saturday night, 28 December 2013 (start time 7.30pm). Fifteen riders have been selected, and the sixteenth rider will be decided by qualifyng heats. The selected riders are: Tim Bichard / Dale Knights, Mick Cave / Gaz Williams (Eng), Mark Cossar / Darryl Whetstone (Eng), Brenten Dwyer / Adam Pfitzner, Shane Evans / Kane Turner, Jason Hardy / Geoff Langdon, Arron Hartwig / Teagan Hartwig, Mick Headland / Paul Waters, Mark Mitchell / Tom Golding, Warren Monson / Matt Morgan (Vic), Damien Niesche / Mitchell Spear, Ronny Parker / Nik Schwarzer, Rob Patterson / Brenton Kerr (Vic), Mark Plaisted / Brian Anthony and Daniel Puddy / Luke Puddy.

The following riders will contest two heats and a final of qualifying with the winner progressing to the championship and the non-qualifiers will have their own series of support events: Keith Bichard / Derick Thomas, Rick Fechner / Justin Richards, Dean Hobbs / Andy Westover, Kym Menadue / Anthony Schulz, Shane Rudloff / Damian Egan, Aaron Silvy / Matthew Barkla, Brian Silvy / Josh Knott, Darryl Woods / Will Walker.

There will also be a limited number of Solo events featuring Jack Fallon (Vic), Seth Hickey, Sam Martin and Robert Medson.

The Speedway Racing News South Australian Sidecar Championship will be the first meeting of 2014, just a week later on SUNDAY night, 5 January (7.30pm start). Motorcycling SA have seeded fourteen riders. They are: Mick Cave / Gaz Williams (Eng), Mark Cossar / Darryl Whetstone (Eng), Malcolm German / Stephen Stagg (Vic), Jason Hardy / Geoff Langdon, Arron Hartwig / Teagan Hartwig, Mick Headland / Paul Waters, Trent Headland / Jesse Headland, Mark Mitchell / Tom Golding, Warren Monson / Matt Morgan (Vic), Damien Niesche / Mitchell Spear, Ronny Parker / Nik Schwarzer, Rob Patterson / Brenton Kerr (Vic), Mark Plaisted / Brian Anthony, Darrin Treloar / Blake Cox (NSW).

Two riders will be determined by two heats and a final of qualifying races. The riders in the qualifying races are: Tim Bichard / Dale Knights, Brenten Dwyer / Adam Pfitzner, Daniel Puddy / Luke Puddy, Shane Rudloff / Damian Egan, Aaron Silvy / Matthew Barkla, Daniel Stephens / Link Stephens (NSW), Rick Stephens / Darcy Risstrom (NSW) and Darryl Woods / Will Walker.

The six riders who do not qualifying will race in support events along with Keith Bichard / Derick Thomas, Mal Greig / Scott Banyer, Dean Hobbs / Andy Westover, Kym Menadue / Anthony Schulz, Mark Radford / Chris Walker (Vic), Brian Silvy / Josh Knott.

Admission prices for both meetings are: Adults $25, Concession $20, Children Under 16 $5 (aged between 12-15 inclusive), Children Under 12 free. Family $55. Parking free. Programme $5.
