The day will be for MX/Flat Track bikes on the 300m Speedway track, and selected riders will also be able to have a try on the club’s 500cc Speedway bike under the watchful eye of the coach, Shane Parker, the former International Speedway rider. The Club is also attempting to a Speedway Sidecar for anyone wanting to have a try as a passenger.
Riders wanting to take part have to enter through the Gillman Speedway website Nominations page (by filling out the on-line nomination form and on the drop down menu for class, selecting “Come N Try”), and need to bring their own riding gear.
Sign on will be 9am for a 10am start. Cool drinks will be available all day, and food will be available from the canteen between 12 and 1pm. A free BBQ will be supplied after the Come and Try day for all participants.
