Australian Champion Sam Masters, and World Under 21 Champion Max Fricke have joined Jason Doyle and Rohan Tungate as confirmed starters in the Australian World Cup fundraising meeting at Gillman Speedway on 4 November.
“This means we will have at least four of Australia’s best International riders in the fundraising meeting, and possibly more with Australia’s International Team Manager Mark Lemon still to talk to other riders” said Speedway Manager Dave Parker.
“Last season Gillman Speedway donated over $15,000 to the International Teams fund, and it was a huge lifeline” said Mark Lemon. “We really appreciate that Gillman Speedway is putting money back into the sport to keep our national teams competitive on the World stage. It is a huge weight off everyone’s shoulders and the riders who will be back from Europe in time want to show their appreciation by supporting this event on November 4.”
Dave Parker added, “It is imperative our Aussies have the funding to compete in these events, so we all need to get behind this event. As well as the best sixteen Solo riders we can get, there will also be a full programme of Sidecars and 250 Solos so as well as supporting our national teams you will be seeing one of the best meetings of the season.”
