Australian 500cc Speedway Solo Championship starts at Gillman

The 2019 Australian 500cc Speedway Solo Motorcycle Championship series will start at Adelaide’s Gillman Speedway with the CBS Bins Round 1 on Thursday night, 3 January 2019.
This will be the 15th consecutive year a round of the championship has been held at Gillman, a record for any track, and all have been with the support of CBS Bins.
This season’s series will be over five rounds in 10 days, with the other rounds at Olympic Park, Mildura (5 January), Undera Park Speedway, Undera (7 January), Diamond Park, Albury–Wodonga (9 January) and Loxford Park Speedway, Kurri-Kurri (12 January).
Entries are now being taken by Motorcycling Australia and will close at 5pm AEDST on Wednesday 5 December. Entries will only be taken through Ridernet (http://bit.ly/2019). The Supplementary Regulations can be viewed on the Motorcycling Australia website (https://www.ma.org.au/forms-sup-regs/supplementry-regulations/).
With only one Australian rider, Jason Doyle, in the 2019 Speedway Grand Prix line-up, all of the riders with future Grand Prix aspirations are expected to ride in the Australian Championship as the first stage of qualifying for the 2020 SGP.
