SA Solo Championship, Boulger and Crump at Gillman Speedway

The 2024/25 South Australian Championship is the next meeting at Gillman Speedway, on Saturday night, 30 November.
Nominations do no close until this Sunday but a full field of 16 have already entered, with riders from South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, New Zealand and England.
Supports events will include a a mix of the SA 250cc Solo Championship, Sidecars, Flat Track Solos and Juniors, dependent on the number of nominations received.
The nominations can be seen on the Nominations page of the Gillman Speedway website, and are updated daily.
With three weeks between the opening meeting of the summer season and this upcoming meeting, a practice will be held on Friday night, 22 November (gates open 4pm, practice starts 6pm).
In other news, Power Productions, who are leasing the track to run their Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters meetings at the end of the year, have announced Speedway solo legends John Boulger and Phil Crump will be honoured on night two (December 28), of the ISM24, incorporating the Leigh Adams Medal.
Boulger and Crump will be the subject of a touching video tribute on the 25 square metre big screen, as well as being paraded in front of the big crowd that is expected.
“Both men are iconic in Australian and world speedway, and we are producing a special video tribute honouring the pair, which will be shown on the venue big screen, and on the livestream coverage, before they enter the track and go on parade”, said organiser David Tapp.
